Kathryn Peck began her career in birth work in 2011, when she certified as a labor support doula. In 2012, Kathryn decided to enhance her clinical skills by training as a birth assistant at Brooklyn Birthing Center where she worked as a BA for six years. During that time she completed an accelerated bachelor's degree in nursing, obtained her certification as a lactation counselor and earned a master's degree in nurse-midwifery at SUNY Downstate. Kathryn gave birth to her daughter at home in 2015. She joined the Brooklyn Midwifery Group at BBC as a Midwifery Fellow in 2018 where she continues to practice.
