Welcome to the New York City Midwives website. New York City Midwives practices an ancient tradition in modern times. We proudly continue our long heritage of caring for women before, during, and after pregnancy. At NYC Midwives our mission is to promote the health and well being of women and infants within their families and communities through the development and support of the profession of midwifery as practiced by certified nurse-midwives and certified midwives. NYC Midwives is an affiliate organization of The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM), also known as Region II, Chapter I.
